About Lit Path co.

Lit Path Co. exists to make showing up online and telling your story feel calm, collaborative, and empowering

Thoughtful Squarespace websites built for community businesses.

I'm Nikki, founder of Lit Path Co. and Squarespace Website Designer.

I design custom websites, tailored websites, and DIY website templates that help community businesses communicate clearly, build trust, and support the way they work every day.

To me, a website isn't just a marketing tool. It's an important part of your business. It should help you welcome customers, simplify processes, support your goals, and grow with you.

That perspective didn't happen overnight. It's the result of more than 20 years of marketing experience before I ever designed my first website.

Drawing on years of experience in local marketing and customer experience, I approach every project through the eyes of the customer.

By understanding what draws people to a business, what they hope to experience, and what makes that experience meaningful, Nikki creates websites that feel aligned, authentic, and connected to the real-world experience behind the brand.

How I got here

My path to website design wasn't a straight line, and I'm grateful for that.

Long before I started Lit Path Co., I spent more than 20 years helping community businesses grow through marketing, strategic planning, community partnerships, and business development. Along the way, I learned that successful businesses are built through thoughtful decisions, clear communication, and genuine relationships.

When I discovered website design, it brought everything together. It combined my passion for marketing, problem-solving, creativity, and helping businesses grow, into work I genuinely love.

Today, I bring that perspective to every website I design. My goal is to create websites that are not only beautiful, but thoughtful, strategic, and built to support the businesses behind them.

What It's Like to Work Together

  • Curiosity: I take the time to understand your business before we ever begin designing.

  • Purpose: Every decision is intentional and rooted in strategy, not trends.

  • Guidance: I'll help you navigate the process with clarity, honesty, and confidence. I’ll also train you so you can manage your site post-launch.

  • Thoughtful Design: Beautiful design should support your goals, your customers, and your business.

  • Built to Grow: Your website should be easy to manage and ready to grow alongside your business.

Serving Communities I Know and Love

Based in Mound, Minnesota

I work with small businesses throughout the United States, but there is a special place in my heart for the communities I have lived in and spent time in here in Minnesota.

I am particularly familiar with the Lake Minnetonka area and the surrounding west metro communities, including Mound, Minnetrista, St. Bonifacius, Waconia, Orono, Excelsior, Wayzata, Shorewood, Long Lake, Maple Plain, Delano, Loretto, Howard Lake, Waverly, Watertown, and Victoria. I grew up in Delano, and current live in the Westonka area.

I also have a deep appreciation for the Brainerd Lakes area, the North Shore of Lake Superior, and the 30A corridor along the Gulf Coast of Florida. These are places I have spent meaningful time exploring throughout my life and getting to know over the years, and I welcome the chance to work with businesses in those regions.

If you are outside of these areas, please do not hesitate to reach out. I work with clients across the country and would love to hear about your business.

Curiosty Leading the Way

Curiosity has shaped the way I work for as long as I can remember. It's what led me into marketing, community engagement, and eventually website design. It also shapes how I experience the world beyond my work.

Whether I'm researching and planning our family's next adventure, discovering a great local business, exploring somewhere new, or happily getting lost in nature, art, new music, or a good book, I love learning and sharing what I find.

Friends and family know I'm usually the first person to call for travel recommendations, hidden gems, or a thoughtfully planned itinerary.

That same curiosity shapes the way I work with clients. I love learning how a business works, understanding the experience it's creating, and finding thoughtful ways a website can better support both the business and the people it serves.
