I'm Nikki, founder of Lit Path Co. and a Squarespace website designer.
With more than 20 years of marketing experience, I create strategic, welcoming websites that help businesses communicate clearly, build trust, and reflect the experience behind what they do.
From DIY and Tailored Website Templates to 5 Day and Custom Websites, I offer different ways to build a professional online presence that supports your business and the people you serve.
To me, a website isn't just a marketing tool. It's an important part of your business. It should welcome customers, simplify processes, support your goals, and grow alongside you.
I believe the best websites begin with understanding the people on both sides of the experience.
What brings someone to your business? What are they hoping to find? And what will help them feel confident taking the next step?
Those questions guide the way I organize content, shape the visitor experience, and make design decisions. The goal is a website that feels like a natural extension of your business, whether someone discovers you online or walks through your door.

How I got here
My path to website design wasn't a straight line, and I'm grateful for that.
Before starting Lit Path Co., I worked in local marketing, strategic planning, community partnerships, and business development. I spent time getting to know businesses, understanding their customers, and finding opportunities to help them grow.
When I discovered website design, it felt like a natural next step. It brought together the parts of my work I enjoyed most: strategy, creativity, problem-solving, and connecting people with businesses worth discovering.
Today, I get to bring all those experiences together through Lit Path Co.

Serving Communities I Know and Love
Based in Mound, Minnesota
I work with small businesses throughout the United States, but there is a special place in my heart for the communities I've called home, explored, and gotten to know throughout Minnesota.
I am particularly familiar with the Lake Minnetonka area and the surrounding west metro communities, including Mound, Minnetrista, St. Bonifacius, Waconia, Orono, Excelsior, Wayzata, Shorewood, Long Lake, Maple Plain, Delano, Loretto, Howard Lake, Waverly, Watertown, and Victoria. I grew up in Delano and currently live in the Westonka area.
I also have a deep appreciation for the Brainerd Lakes area, the North Shore of Lake Superior, and the 30A corridor along the Gulf Coast of Florida. These are places I have spent meaningful time exploring throughout my life and getting to know over the years, and I welcome the chance to work with businesses in those regions.

Curiosity has shaped the way I work for as long as I can remember. It's what led me into marketing, community engagement, and eventually website design. It also shapes how I experience the world beyond my work.
Whether I'm researching and planning our family's next adventure, discovering a great local business, exploring somewhere new, or happily getting lost in nature, art, new music, or a good book, I love learning and sharing what I find.
Friends and family know I'm usually the first person to call for travel recommendations, hidden gems, or a thoughtfully planned itinerary.
That same curiosity carries into every website I design. I love discovering what makes a business special and finding thoughtful ways to translate that experience into a website that works for both the business and its customers.
I suppose that's what curiosity is all about for me. Paying attention, making connections, and always being excited to discover something new.
