12 Reasons To Love Squarespace

When I first started, I jumped on any website design work I could get. I was curious and hungry to learn the ins and outs of different platforms, tools, and design features. I spent a lot of time updating outdated sites, fixing broken elements, and doing one-off add ons. It was a great way to learn the fundamentals of website design work.

I offered this service at the start of my website design career, but I found that I work best with full custom design projects and have found Squarespace to be the best website platform to work with.

It’s so important to select a website design and hosting platform that best fits your brand and goals. There are many to choose from and it can feel overwhelming to decide which is best, especially if you’ve never had a website before. I currently specialize in Squarespace, which I’ve used to create my own sites as well as client sites and I absolutely love it!

I’ve worked with several other platforms and feel that their fees are fair, given so much is included — so much so that I have decided to offer my design services through Squarespace only.

This is my favorite platform and here’s why:

12 Reasons to Love Squarespace
  • It's an all-in-one platform with so much included (over 30 app extensions, SEO support, built-in security, added privacy, analytics, Google Workspace, etc.).

  • I don’t have to worry about adding a site host & can purchase domains directly from them.

  • Their blog/vlog/gallery/portfolio options are beautiful.

  • Their built-in marketing options & mobile apps are so helpful and make it easy for me to automate, edit & create on the go. I especially love Unfold and their video studio.

  • Their e-commerce options allow you to sell physical or digital products (ex: audio files, e-books), donations, event tickets, services, subscriptions, & gift cards. I have found the setup and flow to be much more simple compared to other hosting sites.

  • They offer scheduling, beautiful email campaigns, & private member pages. So much right within their platform.

  • Integrating with 3rd party accounts is such a simple process. This is great for connecting with a POS system, or reservation/booking/scheduling, takeout or delivery, and email campaign accounts. You can also import products from Etsy, which is super helpful when setting up a shop.

  • The templates are beautiful & there are so many options for customization.

  • Streamlined and easy to manage post-launch

  • Their training tools & customer service experiences are great too!

  • Plus, they are always upgrading and seem to be ahead of the curve.

I am also a member of the Squarespace Circle. Squarespace Circle is a community created by Squarespace to support web designers at all phases of their business. Being a member showcases that I have proven experience designing on Squarespace, gives me credibility & helps me give my clients the very best website design service. I can pass down the benefits to my clients as well.

Some of the ways I benefit from being a circle member are:

  • Gaining access to members-only forums and training

  • Having direct contact with customer support

  • Getting early access to new exciting features

  • Participating in beta testing

  • Feeling supported and in community with designers who do similar work

It’s so nice that Squarespace has an option like this for designers and I appreciate the opportunity.
